Change & Transition

The hard part of change is rarely the new thing. It's the in-between — when the old has ended and the new hasn't arrived, and you have no idea who you are this week.

Let's start here

The hard part of change is rarely the new thing. It's the in-between — when the old has ended and the new hasn't arrived, and you have no idea who you are this week.

Going deeper

Every genuine transition has that empty corridor in the middle, and every tradition marks it for a reason. The discomfort of the corridor is not evidence you chose wrongly. It's evidence the change is real. The lunar cycle is a map for exactly this: release, rest, then plant.

Light

Movement through endings without rushing the beginning.

Shadow

Leaping into the new thing to avoid grieving the old one.

How to work with this

• Name what is ending and what is beginning, in two sentences.

• Allow one full lunar cycle in the corridor before judging the decision.

• Mark the threshold deliberately — a ritual, however small.

Questions to sit with

• What am I leaving, honestly?

• What am I afraid the new thing will ask of me?

• Who am I when nothing is decided?
