Universal Laws
Law of Relativity
Law 9 of 12 · worked with Waning Crescent energy.
The law
Nothing is inherently large or small until it is compared. Comparison decides most of your suffering.
Within the MoonMagicx Lunar Method™
In the Waning Crescent, rest strips comparison away — there is nothing to measure while you are not producing. Primary phase: Waning Crescent.
How to work with it this cycle
Spend a day without comparing your progress to anyone, including your past self.

Journal prompt
• Whose measure am I using, and did I ever agree to it?
Across the whole cycle
Full Moon: notice where this law is already operating. Waning Gibbous: reflect on it with gratitude. Last Quarter: release what contradicts it. Waning Crescent: rest inside it. New Moon: set an intention shaped by it. Waxing Crescent: nurture that intention. First Quarter: act on it when resistance arrives. Waxing Gibbous: review how accurately you have been living it.
Deep dive
Law of Relativity — the long working
The deeper current
Kept close for long enough to stop being a novelty, Law of Relativity changes character: it stops behaving like a symbol and starts behaving like a mirror.
At its best it brings a felt sense of connection rather than a borrowed belief. Left unexamined it turns into collecting practices without living any of them. The honest work between those two ends is this: keep one practice for a full lunar cycle.
Where it tends to be misread
The most common misreading of Law of Relativity is collecting the meaning and skipping the practice, then wondering why nothing moved.
If you notice that happening, you have not failed — you have found the exact place the work lives.
In the body
Let your hands be busy — walking, washing up, tidying. Some understandings only arrive sideways.
A ritual for Law of Relativity
Best begun at the First Quarter, when the instruction is to act and move through resistance.
1. Clear a small surface and sit down properly. No phone, no music with words.
2. Say what you are actually here about — one sentence, plain language, no spiritual vocabulary.
3. Bring Law of Relativity into it: hold it, light it, draw it, or simply read its name aloud, whichever suits.
4. Ask: what am I avoiding inside this? Write for four minutes without stopping.
5. Choose one action from what you wrote and put it in the diary with a date.
Close by writing one sentence you would be willing to say out loud to another person.
Shadow work
Shadow with Law of Relativity usually appears as collecting practices without living any of them.
Ask, without softening it: who taught me this was safer? What does it protect me from feeling? What would I have to face if I stopped doing it? Write the answers even if they are unflattering — especially then.
Seven days with it
Day one — read the entry again slowly and write the line that irritated you.
Day two — keep one practice for a full lunar cycle.
Day three — find where collecting practices without living any of them has been true for you.
Day four — do the smaller version of the thing you keep postponing.
Day five — tell one person one true sentence about this.
Day six — notice what a felt sense of connection rather than a borrowed belief would actually feel like in your ordinary day.
Day seven — rest, and write what changed without grading yourself.
Journal prompts
• What did Law of Relativity show me that I already suspected?
• Where in my life is a felt sense of connection rather than a borrowed belief already quietly present?
• What is the cost of continuing to collecting practices without living any of them?
• If I trusted this completely, what would I stop doing this week?
• Who would notice if I actually lived this?
Carrying it forward
Give Law of Relativity one full lunar cycle before deciding what it is worth to you. Come back to this page at the next First Quarter and read your notes below — the change is usually visible in your own handwriting before it is visible anywhere else.
